The present website (hereinafter the “Website”) was created by the Law Firm “VAP LAW OFFICES, with registered offices in Athens, Greece (4, K. Servias street, Syntagma, P.C. 10562, e-mail address: [email protected]) (hereinafter the “Firm”). The scope of the Website is to provide updates and information to the visitors, thus its content does not consist a legal advice in any case, neither its use by the visitor establishes a lawyer-client relationship. The Firm wishes to inform the visitors (hereinafter the “Users“) about the Website’s mode and terms of operation, so that they have control over the data and information they choose to share with us and are informed about their use by us, as well as about their rights and obligations arising from visiting and browsing our Website (hereinafter the “Use“).

Users are asked to read these terms of use and to fully comply with them. Otherwise, they should refrain from the Use. Browsing, staying on the Website and using its relevant services imply the unconditional acceptance of these terms. During the Use of the Website, a log in option is offered for which a username and password is required.

Through present Website the interconnection through “links”, hyperlinks and advertising banners with other websites might be enabled. The civil and penal liability regarding the lawfulness and validity of the other websites falls on their owners, thus, the Firm’s liability, in any form, is excluded, indicatively liability regarding intellectual property rights, or any third-party rights. The Firm is not responsible for the terms of Use, the cookies policy and the privacy policy of other web pages to which the Users might be redirected or which they use through the Firm’s Website. The Firm asks the Users to read the terms of Use, cookies policy and privacy policy of other web pages to which this Website is linked in any manner and to address their hosts/owners for any issue arising from the visit/use of them.

  1. COPYRIGHTS AND INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

The contents of the Website (including, without limitation, marks, distinctive marks, photos, texts, images, drawings, diagrams, codes and in general any document and file), excluding certain third party rights, such as intellectual property rights and other rights, are the object of intellectual, industrial and commercial property and protected by the relevant provisions of the Greek, European and international law.

By way of exception, the Firm allows Users to copy and print extracts or documents from the Website (excluding those, whose beneficiaries are third parties) for their exclusive personal use.   1. OBLIGATIONS OF USERS

The Users of the Website accept, agree and covenant to Use the Website in a lawful and appropriate manner. Therefore, the Users agree to not Use the Website in any manner, including, but not limited to, in which they might:

  4. e) install, forward and/or distribute content which contains software viruses or any other electronic code, files or programs designed to interfere with, destroy or restrict the operation of any software or telecommunications equipment, or hinder other Users from using the Website, or in general put either the operation of the Website or the security of its Users at risk.

In case of illegal behaviour or behaviour contrary to these Terms of Use of the Website, the Users are liable for indemnification towards the owners for any positive and consequential loss or damage they suffer. Failure to exercise the rights set forth in these Terms by their beneficiaries, does not imply a waiver of those rights.

  1. DISCLAIMER

The Firm is not liable in any way towards its Users for any leakage of their personal data or any infringement or damage arising from the Use by them, through the Website, the products and services of third parties.

Similarly, the Firm is not liable for any interruption of the Websites services due to a disruption or for any other reason. Also, the Firm has taken all measures possible for the protection of the Website and in general the network against malicious cyber-attacks, but does not guarantee the absence of viruses or other data which are harmful to Users both in the servers and in affiliated or not web pages, to the extent beyond the ability and the control of the Firm.

The Firm does not guarantee, directly or indirectly, that the content of the Website will always be up-do-date, without errors, meet the users’ demands and that the results from the its use will be reliable, accurate and without errors, but it guarantees that it will make every effort possible for all the above.

Due to continuous developments, the information contained in the Website might not always be fully updated or up-to-date and for this reason, these information are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS PROVIDED” basis. The use of information received or stored by or through the Website is subject to the sole discretion and responsibility of the user. The User accepts that it has to assess the content and that it is responsible for any risk that might arise from the use of any content.

The content of the Website can in no way be deemed as legal/investment/tax or other advice, nor should it be considered as a basis for any decision or action.

  1. COOKIES POLICY

The Firm uses cookies in order to make the Website User friendly and more useful. When Users visit the Website, the Firm’s servers send a cookie to their computer. The cookies do not identify them personally, they simply identify the browser they use.

In case any article of the above terms is deemed unenforceable, this shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the other terms. These Terms represent the entire agreement between every User and the Firm and govern the access and Use of the Website by the Users. These Terms supersede any other written agreement between every user and the Firm in relation to the Use of the Website.

These Terms are construed in accordance with the Greek Legislation.
